Great Photos from Rockhampton Airport as RSAF Exercise Wallaby 2014 Kicks Off

Some great photos have been sent through by local plane spotter Ben O as the now 'resident' Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) helicopters have started taking to the air after the Singapore Armed Force's Exercise Wallaby 2014 kicked off earlier this week.

Ben was on hand at Rockhampton Airport late on Thursday 18 September as captured a pair of RSAF Boeing AH-64D Apache helicopters returning from the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA).

They were heard to be using the radio callsign of "Atom".

A little later in the afternoon, a pair of RSAF Eurocopter / Aerospatiale AS332M Super Puma helicopters also returned to Rockhampton Airport after flying a sortie to the Bay.

They were heard to be using the radio callsign "Diamond".

Sincere thanks to Ben for capturing these images and for taking the time to send them through!
