A well known flight-tracking website has caused a little confusion suggesting that fellow Executive Airlines-operated Cessna 550 Citation Bravo bizjet VH- EYJ actually called into Hamo, however this Citation spent all of Tuesday 8 March on the ground at Sydney!
Meanwhile, I noticed with some interest that Qantas Airways Boeing B737-800 VH-XZJ called into Hamilton Island Airport at the least three times over the last week operating scheduled services from Sydney.
As we've mentioned before, VH-XZJ wears a special Aboriginal art colour scheme called “Mendoowoorrji”.
I think it looks stunning!
Finally, I also that during the early part of last week, two of the Qantas scheduled services into Hamo were 'down-sized' and operated by QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200s. The flights were numbers QJE1572/1573 and were operated by VH-YQW which wears very unique decals and is named 'The Tassie Devil'.
VH-YQW is also one of five QantasLink B717 aircraft that has a 2-class configuration with 110 seats, along with Q-Streaming - Qantas' wireless entertainment system.
