Central Queensland Rescue Helicopter Service (CQ Rescue) Bell 412 VH-LSY ("Rescue 422") at Bowen Hospital

During the week, local plane spotter James K shared with us some nice photos of the Central Queensland Rescue Helicopter Service (CQ Rescue) (Babcock Mission Critical Services Australasia) Bell 412 helicopter VH-LSY ("Rescue 422") at Bowen Hospital.

"Rescue 422" had a busy couple of days this week with the Babcock Mission Critical Services Australasia (ex Australian Helicopters) operated 'operational spare' chopper operating from Mackay to Proserpine Hospital and North to Townsville before returning South to Bowen and back to Mackay on Tuesday 12 July.

It also operated a med-evac flight to Hamilton Island and back to Mackay Base Hospital on Monday 11 July.

Meanwhile, both Townsville and Brisbane based Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue helicopters have also visited different parts of Central Queensland this week. QGAir Bell 412 VH-ESD "Rescue 521" was noted visiting Mackay Base Hospital and Mackay Airport on both Wednesday 13 July and Sunday 10 July, while QGAir Agusta AW139 VH-ESH "Rescue 500" was noted visiting Bundaberg Airport very late on Wednesday 13 July.
