Some More Nice Helicopters Pop into CQ Airports Monday

On Monday 11 July, some more nice helicopters were noted passing through CQ, mostly heading South, with three of the choppers returning to their 'homes' after being in Townsville for the V8 Supercar motor racing weekend in North Queensland.

After completing its role of capturing the motor racing action from the air, Microflite Helicopters (of Moorabbin) Eurocopter AS.350B3 Squirrel VH-YXX returned South from Townsville via Mackay, Gladstone and Caloundra Airports.

Also flying South from Townsville were fellow Eurocopter AS.350B3 Squirrel helicopters VH-SZS of S&S Aviation (Brisbane) and Gold Coast based VH-MDQ.  They were both noted arriving into Rockhampton Airport from Townsville before later departing further South.

Brisbane-based Eurocopter AS.350B3 Squirrel helicopter VH-CWP was noted flying from Cooktown to Mackay via Cairns and Townsville.  It looked to be staying the night at Mackay Airport.

UPDATE!  On Tuesday 12 July, VH-CWP continued further South to Gladstone and Caloundra.

And finally, Ingham-based Croc Helicopters Robinson R44 VH-EWD was noted arriving into Rockhampton Airport later on Monday 11 July and looked to still parked at Rocky as this post it written.
