On
Wednesday 4 April, Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue (State of Queensland) Agusta AW139 helicopter VH-EZJ was noted ferrying South from Townsville to Archerfield via Emerald and Gayndah Airports.

It appears that VH-EZJ was returning 'home' to Archerfield after it ferried to Far North Queensland early last week to provide support and to help with the rescue efforts that could were needed when Tropical Cyclone Nora made landfall.
It is interesting to note that with the new Tropical Cyclone Iris affecting the Whitsundays that VH-EZJ took a more inland route than the usual coastal route the QGAir Rescue choppers usually take when completing ferry flights North and South.
