Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) (Cobham SAR Services Pty Ltd) Bombardier Challenger 604 Bizjet VH-XND Pops into Mackay Airport

On Sunday 6 January, Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) (Cobham SAR Services Pty Ltd) Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-XND was noted arriving into Mackay Airport direct from Melbourne (Essendon) as "Rescue 660".

After presumably refuelling, VH-XND "Rescue 660" departed Mackay Airport and was noted flying North towards to the Whitsundays before turning out to sea.

I presume that it was completing a sortie in the area.

Meanwhile, after visiting Mackay Airport yesterday - see Blog post below - on Sunday 6 January, LifeFlight (Aeromed) Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-URR "Ambulance 604" was back in CQ, this time calling into Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport from Brisbane.  It later returned to the capital.
