A Lazy Sunday Afternoon's Spotting at Rockhampton Airport

Rockhampton spotters enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the airport enjoying perfect weather conditions and a nice variety of aircraft on Sunday 22 April.

Locally based JMK Project Builders Cessna 550 Citation II bizjet VH-JMK flew to Gladstone.

It returned a couple of hours later.

Also noted was JMKs Cessna 310 VH-FFA.

Other General Aviation traffic, included Peace Aviation's Beech 36 VH-MMB.

Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service (Jayrow Helicopters) Sikorsky S-76A VH-JRD emerged from its hangar and went on a brief flight.

On the commercial front Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-FWI was spotted departing Rockhampton for Brisbane operating on behalf of QantasLink.

Also spotted was Virgin Australia Boeing B737-700 VH-VBY which is still the only B737-700 which has been painted in the airline's new colours.

As shown, it departed on dusk making for some lovely late afternoon light effects!
