More Recently Delivered Virgin Australia Aircraft at Rockhampton and Mackay Airports

We mentioned in a Blog Post below of Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-YIO operating its first ever revenue service for the airline on a Brisbane to Mackay Airport service on Saturday 18 August.  However, there have been a couple of other 'first time visitors' of some recently delivered Virgin Australia aircraft.

On Friday 24 August, B737-800 VH-YIJ visited Mackay Airport for the first time, arriving from and departing back to Brisbane.  Later, B737-800 VH-YIM also arrived for the first time ever into Mackay from Brisbane as VOZ621, and the aircraft remained overnight.

VH-YIJ was also noted in Central Queensland on Saturday 25 August, this time at Rockhampton Airport.

Later on Saturday 25 August, Virgin Australia (Skywest Airlines) ATR 72-600 VH-FVP made its second visit in less than a week while undertaking some training flights in this recently delivered aircraft.  VH-FVP arrived from Brisbane and later departed to the Sunshine Coast.  As noted below, VH-FVP made its first visit to Rockhampton on Monday 20 August.

Incidentally, if you are an aviation enthusiast, or like taking photos of aeroplanes, and live in Cental Queensland (especially Mackay), please get in contact with me at the CQ Planespotting Blog on THIS EMAIL ADDRESS, as I would love to have more enthusiasts/contacts from CQ to contribute to the Blog!
