Douglas DC-3 N451ZS at Longreach Airport

As we predicted a few days ago, Douglas DC-3 N451ZS arrived into Longreach Airport on Sunday 11 November.  Plane spotter A Abbott supplied a photo of the DC-3 on finals at Longreach Airport to the GA Long Haul News Blog - LINK.

The DC-3 - named "The Jean Batten Clipper" - is operated by Airscapade, and is nearing the end of an epic journey from the United Kingdon (UK) to New Zealand (NZ), retracing the steps of Jean Batten.

On Monday 12 November, N451ZS departed Longreach for Hervey Bay and Fraser Island.  It will then cross 'the ditch' to New Zealand, via Norfolk Island.

Enthusiasts can keep tabs on the progress of N451ZS on their website (HERE).
