QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200 VH-NXJ and More at Gladstone Airport on Wednesday

Popping into Gladstone Airport briefly on Wednesday 14 November, we noted QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200 VH-NXJ sitting on the lower apron at the Airport.

Soon after, VH-NXJ departed back to Brisbane.  VH-NXJ is a recent arrival to Cobham fleet, and this is its first week noted flying in Central Queensland.

Then going for a look at the General Aviation (GA) aircraft parking area, we noted a couple of semi-regular visitors, with Cessna 210 VH-SOV and Piper PA-28-140 VH-TXV resting in between flights.

At the nearby local operators’ hangars, Gladstone Aero Club member John G was preparing his Amateur Built Thorp T-18 VH-IXI for a local flight.  “Skippy”, as the aircraft is named departed shortly after.

Amateur Built Jodel D-18 Ultralight 19-4789 was also noted inside a nearby hangar.
