A Couple of Corporate Bizjets and Turboprop Aircraft Around CQ Airports Late This Week

Over the latter part of this week, there have been a few corporate bizjets and turboprop aircraft noted calling into several CQ Airports.

On Friday 18 May, Machjet (Machjet International) Cessna 525A Citation CJ2 bizjet VH-ZIY was noted visiting Bundaberg Airport during a busy day of flying which saw it depart its Sunshine Coast base for the South before it touched down at the Rum City.  After a short time on the ground, VH-ZIY returned to the Sunshine Coast.

Also on Friday 18 May, the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon Hawker 850XP bizjet VH-SGY was noted arriving into Emerald Airport from Brisbane.  At the time of writing, it was due to depart back to the capital during the afternoon on Saturday 19 May.

While on the lighter side of the corporate aircraft, Hawker Beechcraft G58 Baron VH-EZD was noted arriving into Hamilton Island Airport from its Monto base also on Friday 18 May.

UPDATE!  VH-EZD returned direct to Monto from Hamo on Sunday 20 May.

As it did last week (perhaps becoming a regular movement?) Brisbane-based Cessna 525A CitationJet2 bizjet VH-MOR was noted arriving into Moura Airport from Archerfield and Brisbane on Wednesday 16 May.  After overnighting, it departed back to Brisbane and then Archerfield on Thursday 17 May.

Also on Thursday 17 May, locally-based Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 bizjet N142GZ flew from its Mackay Airport base to Sydney.

And LifeFlight (Aeromed) Bombardier Challenger 604 bizjet VH-URR "Ambulance 604" was noted arriving into Emerald Airport from Brisbane also late on Thursday 17 May on what was believed to be a medical evacuation flight.

Finally, on Wednesday 16 May, Business Aviation Solutions Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-BLM was noted visiting Hamilton Island Airport, touching down from the Gold Coast and Brisbane.  It later returned to its Gold Coast base.  While Brisbane-based Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-AAD was also noted flying into Hamilton Island Airport but from Brunette Downs via Longreach and Mount Gordon (Gunpowder Mine).  VH-AAD returned to its Archerfield base on Thursday 17 May.

And on the lighter side of the corporate movements, also on Wednesday 16 May, Henty Aviation Cessna 425 VH-BSM completed two visits to Rockhampton Airport during the early morning and then late afternoon (sadly its exact movements are not fully known).  And CromAir Cessna 414A VH-CBT was noted popping into Mackay and Gladstone Airports while on a flight from and back to its Bundaberg Airport base.
