The SAAB initially departed Brisbane for Longreach Airport as PFY9884 before continuing to Julia Creek again as PFY9884. VH-ZLV then flew direct from Julia Creek to Rockhampton Airport but as PFY9279 before it then departed back to Brisbane as PFY9881.
Meanwhile, also out at Longreach Airport, as we reported yesterday, as many as three Soar Aviation (Melbourne) BRM Aero Bristell NG-5 ultralight aircraft are believed to be stuck on the ground while on a cross-country flight. They have been identified as VH-YUE, VH-YUW and VH-YVF and were noted arriving from Mount Isa earlier this week.
The three Bristells departed Longreach Airport for Roma Airport on Wednesday 24 April but returned due to weather. They were all due to depart Longreach Airport again but this time for Quilpie on Thursday 25 April, but at the time of writing, it appears that they may in fact have remained grounded at Longreach.
