Chinese-Registered Bombardier Global 6000 Bizjet B-8197 Arrives into Hamilton Island Airport

Certainly an attractive arrival into Hamilton Island Airport early on Wednesday 1 May was private Chinese-registered Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global 6000 bizjet B-8197.  The Global 6000 bizjet comes up as being registered to Bankcomm Jinyuan (Tianjin) Aircraft Leasing Company.

B-8197 arrived into Hamo from Cairns, having earlier touched down all the way from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in China.

At the time of writing, B-8197 appears to be staying for at least the night.

Meanwhile, a couple of interesting visitors into Hamilton Island Airport on Tuesday 30 April with Alliance Airlines Fokker F-70 VH-QQY popping in on what looked like a closed charter flight.  VH-QQY arrived into Hamo from Ayers Rock as UTY8814 and later departed to Brisbane as UTY8815.  

And Jetstar Airways Airbus A320 VH-VFL was noted completing a flight into Hamilton Island Airport from and back to Brisbane as JST7404/7405.  While not 100% confirmed, it appears that this flight replaced the 'usual' Qantas/QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 flight into Hamo from and back to Brisbane.
