Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-200 / KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) A39-002 Missed Approach at Rockhampton Airport

During the late afternoon on Tuesday 28 May, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-200 / KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) A39-002 was photographed by local plane spotter Daniel B as it completed a missed approach onto Runway 15 at Rockhampton Airport.

It appeared that the KC-30A had much earlier flown up from RAAF Base Amberley via an inland route possibly to Darwin and appeared to arrive into Rocky from the West.  After completing the airwork, A39-002 departed Rockhampton Airport for Amberley.  It was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Dragon 10" for all of its flights.

Sincere thanks to Daniel B for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
