New LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair Challenger 604 Bizjet VH-OFC "Ambulance 634" First Visit to CQ Airports

On Tuesday 9 June, LifeFlight (Aeromed) recently acquired Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-OFC "Ambulance 634" was noted making its first visit to the region, calling into a couple of Central Queensland Airports during a busy day and night of flying.

This is the first visit by the third and final of the new LifeFlight (Aeromed) Challenger 604 Air Ambulance jets that were previously operated by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) VIP 34 Squadron.  Of interest, VH-OFC previously wore the military serial A37-003 and was a frequent visitor to CQ Airports - see Blog post below for more.

VH-OFC was delivered to LifeFlight at Brisbane in February and completed some flights in March (as shown above) and April before finally looking to fully enter service with LifeFlight last week.

On Tuesday 9 June, VH-OFC "Ambulance 634" departed Townsville for Mackay Airport and then Brisbane.  It then made a surprise visit to my local Clermont Aerodrome before returning to Mackay Airport.  VH-OFC then flew up to Townsville and Cairns before finishing the night back at Townsville.
