Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-211 Spotted Completing Airwork at Rockhampton Airport

On Tuesday 23 June, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-211 was spotted completing airwork at Rockhampton Airport.

The C-17 was heard to be flying as "Stallion 65" and initially departed RAAF Base Amberley to complete airwork off the coast of South-East Queensland along with fellow RAAF Airbus A330-200 / KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) A39-006 "Dragon 70".

A41-211 then flew up to Rocky where it completed two missed approaches.  It then returned to Amberley.

Meanwhile, also on Tuesday 23 June, an unidentified Australian Army NH Industries MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopter as "Warhorse 234" was noted completing airwork at Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport while on a flight out of and back to Townsville.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Kayanne H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
