On Wednesday 3 June, the announcement of Alliance Airlines starting flights into the Whitsundays from Brisbane later this month brought various Queensland Government and other dignities to the region on board both the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Hawker 850XP bizjet VH-SGY and Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ.

VH-SGY arrived into Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport from Townsville and later departed to Brisbane.
While VH-SGQ arrived into Prosie from Brisbane and later departed to Mackay Airport and then back to Brisbane.
