Interesting to note on
Monday 22 November that all Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flights to the Adani Australia (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site are landing at the Doongmabulla Airstrip for at least the next two weeks as the 'usual' landing site – the Labona Station Airstrip – receives an upgrade, including having the runway lengthened with larger aircraft including jets planned to touch down in the new year.

Both Hinterland Cessna 208 Caravans VH-NDC and VH-TFQ, which are currently based at Rockhampton Airport, completed flights to Doongmabulla Airstrip and back to Rocky.
While Skyttrans Airlines Dash-8-100 VH-QQC completed a flight to Doongmabulla and back to Rockhampton Airport as SKP771/2 after it had earlier flown up from Brisbane as SKP783.
