Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) (Cobham SAR Services Pty Ltd) Bombardier Challenger 604 Bizjet VH-XNC Pops into Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 18 March, Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) (Cobham SAR Services Pty Ltd) Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-XNC "Rescue 440" was noted calling into Rockhampton Airport.

It appeared to fly down from Cairns to provide aerial support for the locally-based Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service (CHRS) (Babcock Mission Critical Services Australasia) Agusta S.P.A. AW139 Helicopter VH-YXR "Rescue 300" during a search and rescue mission off Yeppoon.

After taking on fuel, VH-XNC "Rescue 440" departed Rockhampton Airport and returned to Cairns.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 18 March,  Link Airways (Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation) SAAB 340B VH-VEF called into Clermont Aerodrome from Brisbane before departing to Emerald Airport and then back to Brisbane.

Fellow Link Airways SAAB 340B VH-VEP visited Mackay Airport also from Brisbane.  And Metro 23 VH-VEU completed the Airline's Regular Passenger Transport (RPT) flight from Brisbane to Biloela / Thangool Airport and back.
