Qantas / QantasLink Boeing B717-200 VH-NXH Spotted Operating First Ever Flight to Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport

On Sunday 27 March, Qantas / QantasLink looked to increase seat and cargo capacity into Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport quite substantially with the introduction of services into the Whitsundays by their Boeing B717-200 aircraft.

B717-200 VH-NXH had the honour of operating the QJE1700/1 service arriving from and later departing back to Brisbane.

The arrival of the 110-seat two-class or 125-seat all economy aircraft comes as a replacement to QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 flights to Proserpine Airport also from the capital which commenced in September last year.

It is believed that the upgrade of equipment will be on a daily basis.

All the best for this new route - and even more reasons to visit the beautiful Whitsundays region!
