A Couple of Skytrans Dash-8-100s - VH-QQI and VH-QQC - Call into CQ Airports on Closed Sports Charter Flights - Plus More!

On Saturday 9 April, a pair of Skytrans Airlines Dash-8-100 turboprops were noted visiting a couple of Central Queensland Airports on what looked to be closed sports charter flights.

VH-QQC completed two return flights between Cairns and Mackay Airport as SKP962/3/4/5.  While VH-QQI completed a single return flight from Cairns and Townsville to Rockhampton Airport as SKP971/2.

Meanwhile, also on Saturday 9 April, DeGunst Transport P/L Textron (Cessna) 208 Caravan VH-NPZ departed its Bundaberg Airport base for Gladstone Airport before then flying up to Tully.

UPDATE!  On Sunday 10 April, VH-NPZ departed Tully for Townsville and then Gladstone and Bundaberg Airports.

Finally, out at Emerald Airport, also on Saturday 9 April, BPW Aviation / Airspeed Aviation Cessna 441 Conquest II VH-EQU passed through while flying up from Maitland to Cairns.  ZephAir Australia - Aircraft Charters Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-AYT visited from Townsville.  And Avcair (Easternwell Group) Raytheon B200 King Air VH-EWG looked to arrive from Toowoomba and Brisbane before departing to Roma Airport and then back to Toowoomba.

UPDATE!  On Sunday 10 April, it appears that VH-EWG returned to Emerald Airport once again.
