VH-PUY firstly, departed its Sunshine Coast base for the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site. It was unable to land there due to weather and so diverted to my local Clermont Aerodrome. It was later able to land at Labona before it then flew across to Rockhampton Airport and then the Sunshine Coast.
VH-PUY then departed up to Charters Towers Aerodrome where it appears to be staying for the night.
Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 27 April, and slightly larger in size, Pionair Australia British Aerospace BAe 146-200QC VH-SAZ visited Mackay Airport, arriving from and later departing back to Brisbane as SFZ667/8. This appears to be a 'new' weekly Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flight.
While Special Mining Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300E bizjet VH-UYX visited Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport once again. Again, it arrived from and later departed back to Sydney.
And BPW Aviation / Airspeed Aviation Cessna 441 Conquest II VH-EQU flew down from Mackay Airport to Rockhampton Airport and then onwards to Gladstone and Bundaberg Airports. It had arrived into Mackay Airport from Cairns, Innisfail and Townsville the previous day.
Finally, also on Wednesday 27 April, Skytrans Airlines Dash-8-100s VH-QQC and VH-QQG completed several flights between Mackay Airport and Labona and back.
