Pionair Australia British Aerospace BAe-146-200 VH-SYO Calls into Longreach Airport - Plus More!

On Monday 1 August, Pionair Australia British Aerospace BAe-146-200 VH-SYO was noted arriving into Longreach Airport.  It touched down from Sydney and then Brisbane as 'SFZ605' / "Skyforce 605".

At the time of writing, it appears that VH-SYO is remaining at Longreach Airport for at least the night.

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 3 August, VH-SYO departed Longreach Airport for Winton and Mount Isa as 'SFZ607' / "Skyforce 607".  It then flew to Cairns as 'SFZ9057' / "Skyforce 9057".

Also on Monday 1 August, Seair Pacific / Istlecote Textron Aviation (Cessna) 208B Caravan VH-TQI departed Longreach Airport and flew into Lady Elliott Island and then the Gold Coast at the conclusion of what appears to be a closed tourist charter flight.  It flew into Longreach Airport from Birdsville two days earlier.

Meanwhile, also on Monday 1 August, RDO Equipment Co. (ex Vanderfield) Pilatus PC-12/47 VH-WPH was back in the region, flying up from Toowoomba to Dalby and then Biloela / Thangool Airport.  It then flew across to Emerald Airport before returning to Thangool and Toowoomba Airports.

Eastern Air Services (Port Macquarie) Piper PA-31-350 VH-WGF flew up from Archerfield to Rockhampton and Hamilton Island Airports.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 4 August, VH-WGF departed Hamilton Island Airport for Gladstone Airport and then back to Archerfield.

New South Wales-based Campbell Aviation PA-28-181 Cherokees VH-XCW, VH-XHE and VH-XGN - plus another PA-28-181 Cherokee VH-NRF - all landed at Emerald Airport from Hamilton Island Airport (VH-XGN from Proserpine), before they then continued out to Longreach Airport.

And New South Wales-based Cessna 172 VH-CYF and Mooney M20J VH-VMQ both flew into Longreach Airport from the South-West before continuing further to the North-East.

Finally, also on Monday 1 August, Australian Air Services Cessna 501 Citation SP bizjet VH-NOU departed Hamilton Island airport for Narrabri and Bankstown.  It had arrived into Hamo from Bankstown and Roma Airport on Wednesday 27 July.

And West Australia-based Australian Corporate Jet Centres Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-SCR flew into Hamilton Island Airport from Perth before flying down to Brisbane.
