Sunday Morning at Gladstone Airport

We ventured to Gladstone Airport yet again on Sunday 16 September and caught up with some of the local aviators at the Gladstone Aero Club gathering.  One of the locally-based aircraft owned by an Aero Club member Dova DV-1 Skylark Ultralight - 24-5123 eventually departed on a local flight.

We also noted Cessna 210 VH-BVG resting on the General Aviation Apron.  The aircraft was visiting from the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and is believed to have its own website!

On the Commercial front on Sunday 16 September, we noted three QantasLink Dash-8 aircraft passing through on their adventures up and down the Queensland coast with Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOD seen preparing to depart as QLK2331 to Brisbane.  Dash-8-Q300 VH-TQE arrived and later departed as QLK2308, while Dash-8-Q300 VH-TQZ arrived and later departed as QLK2301.

Back at the Gladstone Aero Club meeting, a familiar aircraft in the form of Cessna 210 VH-TET was seen.  VH-TET is operated locally by Central Queensland Distributors.

Cessna 182 VH-CLZ was also noted at Gladstone Airport late last week.

Another good days spotting!
