Congratulations to Dave Jacka who on Wednesday 5 June, became the first quadriplegic to fly solo around the coast of Australia.
After one final delay, and a second attempt at completing the final leg of the epic journey, Dave and his support team have landed safely at Tooradin in Victoria, where the epic flight began 38 days ago.
Jamie C caught Dave and his support aircraft when they passed through Gladstone Airport on Tuesday 7 May.
After Gladstone, they headed North to the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour before heading into North Queensland and experiencing their first round of weather-related delays.
Dave’s mantra is that with an open mind and determination, the impossible becomes possible.
It is great to hear the Dave has completed his history-making flight - congratulations from the CQ Plane Spotting Blog!
