Gladstone Plane Spotters Jamie C and Tash C continue to send through some absolutely magnificent photos of the many and varied visitors to Gladstone Airport over the latter part of last week.
On Wednesday 29 May, QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOH was captured by Jamie making a spectacular departure in very heavy and rainy conditions.
Also spotted was familiar visitor in the form of Sunshine Coast-based Piper PA-46-301P VH-JVX.
And Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Hawker/Beechcraft B200 King Air VH-FDI was spotted by Jamie on Wednesday 29 May.
On Friday 31 May, Tash C captured some interesting light aircraft visitors to Gladstone Airport, including Benaraby-based Cessna 182 VH-IVY which was captured arriving from and departing for parts unknown.
Hunt Aviation of Golden Beach Cessna 172 VH-RWW was captured by Tash on a busy General Aviation apron at Gladstone Airport, shortly after it arrived from Rockhampton.
Lastly on Friday 31 May, Tash captured the departure of Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation SAAB 340B VH-VEP which had arrived the previous evening - see post below for some spectacular photos from Thursday night!
Lastly, Tash C and Jamie C have captured some lovely images of three of the locally-based helicopters that call Gladstone Airport home. Of note were the pair of Gladstone Helicopters / Helireef Eurocopter EC135 helicopters - VH-ZGZ and VH-ZGI - which are used on behalf of Maritime Safety Queensland to transfer of Marine Pilots to off-shore ships.
VH-ZGI has been noted at Gladstone over the last week as VH-ZGZ has been undergoing maintenance. VH-ZGI is usually based at Mackay Airport.
The local Careflight Bell 412EP VH-XCY was also captured 'overhead' as it departed on a sortie to parts unknown.
Lastly, late on Friday 31 May, another Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation aircraft in the form of Metro 23 VH-VEK was photographed by Jamie as it visited Gladstone Airport after dark. It was only a quick visit with VH-VEK photographed preparing for departure for parts unknown.
Yet again, my sincere thanks to both Jamie C and Tash C for sending through their absolutely magnificent photographs of all the recent movements at Gladstone Airport. It is a real privilege to have such talented and hard working photographers contribute to the CQ Plane Spotting Blog.
