During the morning on Friday 7 June, local plane spotter Trevor H managed to capture a couple of photos of a couple of great visitors at Rockhampton Airport. Probably the most notable visitor was the brand new 2013-build Generation 5 Cirrus SR22T VH-YDA, which was on display by the Cirrus Design Corporation at the Rockhampton Aero Club.
Also captured visiting Rockhampton Airport - and spotted there for the second time last week - was Corporate Air (Vee H Aviation) Cessna 404 VH-VEC.
Britten-Norman BN-2T Turbine Islander VH-YVH is still at Rockhampton Airport. VH-YVH is all kitted out with the Wescam MX-15 camera turret on the nose. The aircraft is registered to Britten Norman, and according to some sources is operated by Airborne Surveillance. It carries the code ‘220’. ***UPDATE - VH-YVH departed Rockhampton Airport for Tamworth on Sunday 9 June.
Later on Friday 7 June, local plane spotter 'IAD' ventured to Rockhampton Airport and captured some lovely late afternoon images of the various commercial arrivals. Of note was the arrival of one of Virgin Australia's three remaining Boeing B737-700 aircraft - VH-VBZ - which touched down from Brisbane as VOZ1245.
VH-VBZ was joined by a pair of QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 aircraft - VH-LQB and the unmistakable pink Breast Cancer Awareness colours of VH-QOH.
VH-VBZ eventually departed back to Brisbane as VOZ1248.
Incidentally, Mount Isa-based Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Beech B200 King Air VH-FFI has returned to RFDS service after a maintenance lay-up at Rockhampton Airport. It was noted departing Rockhampton for Mount Isa on Monday 3 June. Reports suggest that VH-FFI is being utilised as an 'operational spare' and is in fact for sale as well.

My thanks to the Rocky spotters for sending through these great images!
