Australian Army Sikorsky S-70A-9 Blackhawk Helicopter A25-112 Spotted at Bundaberg Airport as Passenger Numbers Hit Record High

Local plane spotter Micah S was travelling past Bundaberg Airport on Tuesday 16 July and was quite surprised to see an Australian Army Sikorsky S-70A-9 Blackhawk helicopter - A25-112 - parked at Bundaberg Airport and not appearing to be going anywhere!

As he was taking his photos, the daily Virgin Australia Regional Airlines flight from Brisbane touched down as VOZ1701.  It was being operated by ATR 72-500 VH-FVH.

Meanwhile, it has been recently reported that Bundaberg Airport had its busiest month ever in May, with more than 13,370 people flying in and out of the region - an increase of almost 30 per cent on the previous month.  The start of regular Virgin Australia flights direct to and from the rum city was largely responsible for the massive leap in passenger numbers.
