Meanwhile also spotted parked at Rockhampton Airport on Saturday 23 November was Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-YIH.
VH-YIH had arrived into Rocky on Friday 22 November from Brisbane as VOZ1249 and subsequently broke down. It eventually departed Rockhampton around lunch time on Saturday, positioning to Brisbane as VOZ9910. Interestingly, VH-YIH then departed on an international Virgin Australia service direct to Denpasar (Bali).
One last arrival that was captured by Rockhampton plane spotter ‘IAD’ on Thursday 21 November was Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-VUA which he captured arriving from Brisbane as VOZ1245.
This is ‘IAD’s’ favourite plane – until recently it wore the flag of his football team the Rabbitohs – but as shown above and below, it no longer wears these decals and also now wears a white nose cone.
I believe there are now as many as four Virgin Australia B737-800s in the old Virgin Blue colour scheme who now wears while nose cones – VH-VUA, VH-VOM, VH-VUW, and VH-VUL.
Thanks guys!
