Yet another McDermott Aviation / Machjet helicopter has been spotted at Gladstone Airport in the form of Aerospatiale AS.365N2 Dauphin VH-NAR.
Local plane spotters Jamie and Tash captured some lovely photos of the Dauphin as it touched down on Monday 24 March from parts unknown. It was the fourth large helicopter operated by McDermott to have been spotted at Gladstone in recent days. A source indicates that the Gladstone area has fire ants colonies, and with McDermott usually involved in fire ant eradication spraying, I'd suggest the choppers being in town perhaps has something to do with this.
Thanks guys!
