Touching down at Gladstone Airport early on Tuesday 4 March was Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation SAAB 340B VH-VEM.
It presumably arrived from Brisbane on a closed Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flight.
Reports suggest that VH-VEM then had technical problems which prevented it from departing from industrial city. As a result, fellow Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation Metro 23 VH-VEK also touched down at Gladstone Airport late on Tuesday 4 March presumably from Brisbane, carrying an engineer to work on the SAAB.
Soon after, VH-VEK was loaded with passengers and freight, and then departed Gladstone presumably returning to Brisbane.
VH-VEM remained parked on the Gladstone Airport apron, and local plane spotters Jamie and Tash captured some lovely atmospheric photos as the SAAB received some attention.
On Wednesday 5 March, VH-VEM departed Gladstone, returning direct to Brisbane.
Sincere thanks to Jamie and Tash for sending through these great photos from Gladstone!
