It touched down directly from Hickam Field (formerly Hickam Air Force Base) in Hawaii, flying in as GTI8649 "Giant 8649".
The jumbo taxied in and parked on Gate 6 on the Southern end of the Rocky Airport parking apron. It brought military personnel and cargo into Rocky to participate in joint Exercise Talisman Saber 2017 which is currently underway in the nearby Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA).
At the time of writing, N464MC has departed Rockhampton Airport early on Sunday 9 July heading to Daniel K Inouye International Airport (Honolulu International Airport) in Hawaii as GTI8650.
In its place, fellow Atlas Air Boeing B747-446 N465MC is winging its way across the Pacific Ocean also from Hickam Field to Rockhampton Airport as GTI8653. Stay tuned for photos its arrival!
