Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang Bizjet VH-KXM Pops into Emerald Airport

Early on Wednesday 24 October, Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-KXM was noted calling into Emerald Airport.  It arrived direct from its Bankstown base.

After taking on fuel, VH-KXM continued further North to Vanrook Station near Normanton.

Meanwhile over the last few days, it appears that Western Australia-based CGG Data Services / CGG Aviation (Australia) Cessna 208B Grand Caravan VH-ZKG has been operating aerial survey flights out of Emerald Airport in the local area.

Flight tracking websites suggest that VH-ZKG flew across to Emerald Airport from Jandakot (near Perth) via Alice Springs on Sunday 21 October.

Sadly, the same company lost fellow Cessna 208B Grand Caravan VH-FAY in late September when it crashed into the Pacific Ocean, some 120km East of Sendai, Japan, while on a flight from Saipan to New Chitose, Japan. The sole Norwegian pilot was missing and assumed to have died.
