It arrived from parts unknown to the North as "Tiger 07".
After a short time on the ground, the Seahawk departed to RAAF Base Amberley.
It is believed that N48-007 - seemingly of the RAN's 816 Squadron - called into Hamilton Island Airport on Tuesday 2 October with a Royal Australian Navy ship also sighted in waters in the Whitsundays.
Of interest, also at Hamilton Island Airport, also on Wednesday 3 October, an unidentified Australian Army Boeing CH-47F ‘Foxtrot’ Chinook helicopter was also noted visiting most like from Townsville.
