Jetstar Airways Airbus A320-200 VH-XNI (ex 9V-JSN) First Visit to CQ at Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) and Mackay Airports

On Wednesday 4 May, Jetstar Airways Airbus A320-200 VH-XNI was noted completing its first ever visit to Central Queensland, operating out of Brisbane to and then back from Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport as JST834/3 and then Mackay Airport as JST888/9.

As mentioned previously, VH-XNI is one of three former Jetstar Asia Airways (Singapore) A320s that have recently arrived into Australia to join the Jetstar Australia fleet.

VH-XNI was previously registered as 9V-JSN. The A320 arrived into Australia from Singapore (Changi) at Melbourne (Tullamarine) as 9V-JSN in January this year.  It looked to enter service with Jetstar Australia at the end of March.

Of interest, the other two A320s are VH-XNJ (ex 9V-JSP) and VH-XNN (ex 9V-JSM).  Both have also entered service in Australia, however VH-XNJ is yet to visit CQ.

These three former Jetstar Asia A320s complement the six former Jetstar Japan A320s that have also entered service here in Australia over the last few months. All but one - VH-YXU - have visited the region.
