Jetstar Airways Airbus A320-200 VH-XNJ (ex 9V-JSP) First Visit to CQ at Mackay Airport

On Tuesday 10 May, Jetstar Airways Airbus A320-200 VH-XNJ was noted completing its first ever visit to Central Queensland, operating into Mackay Airport from and back to Brisbane as JST888/9.

As mentioned previously, VH-XNJ is one of three former Jetstar Asia Airways (Singapore) A320s that have recently arrived into Australia to join the Jetstar Australia fleet.

VH-XNJ was previously registered as 9V-JSP. The A320 arrived into Australia from Singapore (Changi) at Melbourne (Tullamarine) as 9V-JSP in January this year. It looked to enter service with Jetstar Australia at the end of March.

Of interest, the other two A320s are VH-XNI (ex 9V-JSN) and VH-XNN (ex 9V-JSM) have also both entered service in Australia.

These three former Jetstar Asia A320s complement the six former Jetstar Japan A320s that have also entered service here in Australia over the last few months. All but one - VH-YXU - have visited the region.
