A Couple of Familiar Corporate Bizjets Around Whitsunday Airports - Citation VH-WMY Spotted at Shute Harbour - Plus More!

On Friday 10 June, there were a few corporate bizjets that were spotted and noted visiting the various Whitsundays Airports.

Mitchell Water Cessna 525 Citation M2 bizjet VH-WMY flew up from Melbourne (Moorabbin) and Melbourne (Essendon) to the Gold Coast before continuing up to Miles Airport and then the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour - where it was spotted below.


VH-WMY then returned South to the Gold Coast and Moorabbin.

Also visiting the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour was Piper PA-46-350P Malibu Mirage VH-KNV which flew up from and then back to its Rockhampton Airport base.

While out on Hamilton Island, Falconair (NSW) Dassault 900 Falcon Mystere bizjet VH-CAD arrived from Bankstown and Newcastle (Williamtown).

Plus Mackay-based Piper PA-34-200T VH-COP departed Hamo for Mackay Airport.  It had flown up from there via Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport on Wednesday 8 June.

And at Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airports, Execujet Australia Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-VSZ arrived from Sydney.

UPDATE!  VH-VSZ departed Proserpine Airport and returned to Sydney on Monday 13 June.

Plus Divair (Air Link) Cessna 525B CitationJet CJ3 bizjet VH-NNE arrived after dark on Thursday 9 June from Orange and Bankstown.

UPDATE!  Also on Monday 13 June, VH-NNE popped across from Prosie to the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour before then returning to Bankstown and Orange.

And also arriving into Prosie, also on Thursday 9 June, was Gulf Aircraft Textron Aviation (Cessna) 208 Caravan VH-PYO.  It looked to fly up from Brisbane to Hamilton Island Airport before flying across to Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 11 June, VH-PYO looked to depart Proserpine Airport and return to Brisbane.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 10 June, a couple of visitors into Rockhampton Airport included the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK which visited twice during a busy day of flying between Cairns and Brisbane.  

And Trans Communications (Brisbane) Piper PA-46-350P VH-UWM arrived into Rocky from its Redcliffe base.  It then departed to Cairns.

UPDATE!  VH-UWM returned to Rockhampton Airport from Cairns on Monday 13 June, before returning to Redcliffe.

While spotted at Gladstone Airport were Cirrus SR22 VH-WJB and SOCATA TB-10s VH-YHE and VH-ZMS.

Colville Aviation Services (Torres Strait Air) Britten-Norman (Bembridge) BN-2A-26 Islander VH-IZH looked to pass through Biloela / Thangool Airport from Charters Towers Aerodrome while flying down to Watts Bridge where it is assumed to be undergoing planned maintenance.  It looked to fly into Charters Towers Aerodrome from Horn Island, Coen and Mareeba the previous day.

And Seair Pacific / Istlecote Textron Aviation (Cessna) 208B Caravan VH-TQI looked to fly from the Gold Coast out to Charleville Airport and then Birdsville.

Finally, also on Friday 10 June, Central Queensland Rescue (CQ Rescue) (Babcock Mission Critical Services Australasia) Bell 412 VH-CQJ looked to be ferrying back up into the region after completing planned maintenance at Coffs Harbour.  It arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Coffs via Ballina / Byron Bay Gateway, Sunshine Coast and Gladstone Airports.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 11 June, VH-CQJ completed the final leg of its ferry flight from Rockhampotn Airport to Mackay Airport.
