Gladstone Plane Spotters Jamie C and Tash C have again sent through some truly fantastic photos of the great action at Gladstone Airport this week - see our Blog Posts below. In amongst the special arrivals however, they captured some great images of some of the more regular arrivals into the Port City over the week - beginning with the surprise arrival of Virgin Australia's Boeing B737-700 VH-VBZ on Monday 16 September.
As mentioned below, VH-VBZ had maintenance issues at Gladstone Airport on Monday, and after its early morning arrival, it was closed up and remained parked on the Gladstone Airport apron for the rest of the day and most of the night. The touch down photos above show that VH-VBZ has a somewhat rough landing at Gladstone.
Virgin B737's are now becoming a common sight at Gladstone Airport, and on Thursday 19 September, fellow B737-700 VH-VBY was captured visiting the Port City.
QantasLink again had numerous arrivals each day, with Cobham Aviation-operated Boeing B717-200s VH-NXH and VH-NXQ captured at various times during the week operating between Gladstone and Brisbane.
Finally, on Thursday 19 September, QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOH was photographed again visiting Gladstone Airport still looking resplendent in its Pink Breast Cancer Awareness colour scheme.
Spectacular images from Central Queensland's premier aviation photographers. Thanks to Jamie and Tash for sending through these fantastic photos - and the others below - your contribution is truly appreciated!
