New Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service (CHRS) – Australian Helicopters – Bell 412EP VH-EPR In Service

Jamie C has sent through a photo from Wednesday 11 September of the Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service (CHRS) Bell 412EP VH-EPR overhead Gladstone.

VH-EPR – which is operated for the CHRS by Australian Helicopters – has recently been delivered to the CHRS base at Rockhampton Airport.

As a result, Bell 412 VH-LSY, which had been operating out of Rockhampton Airport, has since positioned to Mackay Airport, where hangar facilities are available at the Central Queensland Rescue (CQ Rescue) Helicopter building at Mackay Airport.

It is believed that VH-LSY will be an ‘operational spare’ for both the CHRS and CQ Rescue which incidentally utilises Bell 412EP VH-CQJ.
