A great day's plane spotting at Gladstone Airport on Sunday 1 September came to a spectacular end with the visit of Our Airline / Air Nauru Boeing B737-300 VH-INU.
Local plane spotters Michael F, Jamie C and Tash C were on hand as VH-INU - which was making its second visit to the port city in just over a week - touched down from Brisbane as RON914.
After dropping off its passengers - who were believed to be Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) workers, VH-INU was noted making a quick departure back to Brisbane as RON915.
Earlier on Sunday 1 September, Michael, Jamie and Tash captured some nice images of a familiar visitor to Gladstone in the form of Corporate Aviation Bell 429 Helicopter VH-EQP which touched down from Hamilton Island.
After taking on fuel, it departed South to its home base of Southport on the Gold Coast.
Michael, Jamie and Tash also spotted a nice little visiting American Champion (Amchamp) 8KCAB Super Decathlon VH-MCM.
The little 'wannabe' military aircraft was spotted departing for parts unknown, however VH-MCM is believed to be based in Gympie.
Lastly, a very attractive S G Aviation Storm 300 Ultralight 19-5024 was spotted as it departed Gladstone Airport for parts unknown.
What a great Father's Day out local plane spotters had!
We sincerely thank Michael, Jamie and Tash for sending through their fantastic photos from a great afternoon of plane spotting!
