On what looks to be a ferry flight, the distinctive red and white livery of Helicopters NZ (New Zealand) (HNZ) Agusta AW139 ZK-IHP was captured by local plane spotters Trevor H and Kayanne H at Rockhampton Airport on Wednesday 6 July.
ZK-IHP touched down at Rocky from Archerfield.
After taking on fuel, ZK-IHP later departed to Townsville - where it just so happens that I was able to capture a photo as it looked to preparing to stay the night.
As you know, I love a bit of history of airframes and ZK-IHP (c/n 31146) has had an interesting one! It was originally registered ZK-HUL and has enjoyed two stints on the Australia register operating for HNZ (Australia) in Western Australia - as VH-NZE and then VH-NZZ - as well as spending some time operating in Thailand as HS-SFH with SFS Aviation.
