On Sunday 10 July, Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue Bell 412EP helicopter VH-ESB called into Mackay and Gladstone Airports while ferrying from its Townsville base to Redcliffe.
Local plane spotter Michael F popped out to Gladstone Airport on a gorgeous looking Sunday morning and captured a photo as VH-ESB departed the port city on its final leg to Redcliffe where, I presume, it will undergo planned maintenance.
Of interest, VH-ESB is one of two QGAir Bell 412 helicopters that are currently based at Townsville Airport. The other is VH-ESD and it has recently been noted operating out of Townsville as "Rescue 521". And over the course of Saturday 9 July and Sunday 10 July, VH-ESD looked to operate into Mackay Base Hospital (and Mackay Airport).
Finally, Michael also captured a sort of 'family photo' with fellow Bell 412EP helicopter VH-XCY of the locally-based Careflight Queensland operation at Gladstone Airport.
A couple of beaut photos on what looked to be a beautiful day in Gladstone! Our sincere thanks to Michael for taking the time to capture and send them through!
