Making a surprise but most welcome visit to Rockhampton Airport during the late afternoon on
Thursday 7 July was Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-005. It completed a missed approach onto Runway 15 and was noted departing to the South as "Mitchell 13".
In fact, a little later, A30-005 was spotted on final approach to RAAF Base Amberley and of interest, a photo on Facebook show that it has had some nose art applied to it.
