Toll Freight Aviation / Toll Express Metro III VH-UZP Possible Engine Failure at Rockhampton Airport

Early on Wednesday 12 September, Toll Freight Aviation / Toll Express Metro III VH-UZP arrived into Rockhampton Airport on the scheduled TFX162 freight run from Brisbane.

On departure from Rocky for Mackay Airport, VH-UZP turned back soon after take off due to a possible engine failure.

VH-UZP made a safe landing back at Rockhampton Airport.

Then, later on Wednesday 12 September, fellow Toll Freight Aviation / Toll Express Metro 23 VH-HPE was summoned to the rescue and positioned into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane TFX704. VH-HPE then went to Brisbane as the scheduled TFX161 freight run.

Meanwhile, VH-UZP positioned empty from Rockhampton Airport back to Brisbane as TFX703.
