On Thursday 20 September, recently registered Pacific Helicopters Ltd of Papua New Guinea (PNG) Eurocopter AS350B3 Squirrel helicopter P2-PHP was spotted passing through Rockhampton Airport.
It looked to arrive from the South – possibly Redcliffe – and later departed to the North.
At the time of writing, P2-PHP is due to continue to Townsville and Cairns on Friday 21 September.
P2-PHP looks to be on delivery to the PNG operators with another pair of AS350 Squirrel helicopters spotted passing through Rockhampton Airport in December last year – see Blog post HERE.
Meanwhile, a couple of other helicopters were noted flying around the Rockhampton area also on Thursday 20 September.
Orange (in New South Wales) based Bell Helicopter Textron 206B VH-RPK was noted flying out of Gracemere and completing operations West of Rockhampton.
While Byron Bay-based Robinson R44 II VH-JCC visited Rockhampton Airport for fuel while flying to North Queensland.
Finally, on Wednesday 19 September, Cairns-based Robinson R44 VH-RJN was spotted visiting Rockhampton Airport.
Sincere thanks to local pane spotters Scott H and Kayanne H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
