A RAAF Wedgetail and Globemaster Spotted Around Rockhampton Airport Friday

A couple of great Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) movements around Rockhampton Airport on Friday 23 January with Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft - A30-003 - heard to perform a missed approach as "Wedgetail 06".

A short while later, RAAF Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-209 was also heard to perform a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport but as "Stallion 33".

Finally, it's worth mentioning that RAAF Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A (MRTT) A39-004 flew up to Rocky yet again on Thursday 22 January with intention of conducting a missed approach, but reports suggest that the rather inclement weather around the beef capital saw the crew opt out of completing the approach, instead just passing over Rockhampton Airport at low level before flying back to Amberley Air Base.
