QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200 VH-YQV to Gladstone Airport on FIFO Again

Yet again one of the five 'different' QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200 aircraft has called into Gladstone Airport with VH-YQV touching down late on Monday 5 January.

As with the other visits of these B717-200s - which are in a 2-class configuration with 110 seats, along with Q-Streaming - Qantas' wireless entertainment system - VH-YQV operated a Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flight from Sydney to Gladstone, this time as QJE6200.

It is VH-YQV's second visit in as many days and local plane spotter Michael F has sent through some great photos of its visit on Sunday 4 January.

Michael also sent through some other photos of one of the 'star' arrivals into Gladstone Airport on Sunday afternoon in the form of virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-VUX which operated a scheduled service from and back to Brisbane as VOZ1717/1720.

As we also mentioned one other B738-800 visited Gladstone on Sunday 4 January with Qantas' VH-VZS touching down after dark on another FIFO flight from Melbourne (Tullamarine) as QFA1374.

At time of writing it appears that there'll be another busy afternoon later on Tuesday 5 January with two more Qantas B737-800s expected to touch down, along with more QantasLink B717-200s from Sydney.

Thanks to Michael for sending trough these great photos!
