Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) ATR 72-600 VH-FVR Back at CQ Airports After Maintenance Issues

We've mentioned late last year that Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) ATR 72-600 VH-FVR had been flown overseas after being parked and receiving maintenance at Albury since February 2014, after the discovery of damage to the horizontal and vertical stabiliser fairing following an over speed event while on descending into Sydney earlier that month.

After returning from overseas to Wagga Wagga in mid-December 2014, VH-FVR was re-painted and then finally re-entered service for Virgin in late-December, and had since been operating out of Sydney.

On Thursday 1 January, VH-FVR returned to Brisbane and promptly operated a couple of scheduled services back into Central Queensland.  It was noted calling into Bundaberg Airport late on Thursday operating the scheduled VOZ1701/1702 service from and back to Brisbane.

On Friday 2 January, VH-FVR then operated the early morning VOZ1707/1710 scheduled service from and back to Gladstone.

It has since returned South to operate out of Sydney.
