After taking on fuel, VH-FIY departed to RAAF Base Tindal at Katherine in the Northern Territory.
VH-FIY was heard to be using its usual radio callsign of "Auscal 03".
VH-FIY possibly encountered a problem at Tindal as remained parked before it then returned to Brisbane on Wednesday 18 December.
Meanwhile, fellow AirServices Australia / Aero Pearl-operated Hawker Beechcraft B300 Super King Air VH-FIZ flew into Tindal from Brisbane via Mount Isa on Tuesday 17 December. It looked to complete navigational aid calibration on Wednesday 18 December and then return to Brisbane via Longreach Airport on Thursday 19 December.
VH-FIZ was heard to be using its usual radio callsign of "Auscal 04".
Finally, it's worth noting that after operating overseas for some time, fellow AirServices Australia / Aero Pearl (Pearl Aviation) Beech B300 Super King Air VH-FIX returned to Australia via Darwin on Friday 20 December. It then continued to Brisbane via Mount Isa on Saturday 21 December.
