At Hamilton Island Airport - Execujet Global Express VH-OCV - Virgin Australia Charters - Alliance F-100 VH-FKJ for QantasLink

It was interesting to note that late on Friday 17 July, Execujet Australia Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express bizjet VH-OCV touched down at Hamilton Island Airport (possibly) from the Gold Coast.

It is believed that the big bizjet brought Hollywood actor Johnny Depp to the Whitsundays where filming on the blockbuster movie 'Pirates of the Caribbean' will be done this week.

Meanwhile, over the course of Thursday 16 July and Friday 17 July, Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-YIF operated a pair of charter flights into Hamo from the Gold Coast carry other members of the cast and crew, along with equipment, also for the filming of the movie.

On Sunday 19 July,  Balmoral Air (operated for Hamilton Island's owner, and well-known vineyard owner, Bob Oatley) Dassault Falcon 2000LX bizjet VH-WIO touched down from Bankstown.  It was due to return to Bankstown on Monday 20 July.

Finally, as this post is being written, on Monday 20 July it looks like Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-FKJ is operating into Hamo from Cairns on behalf of QantasLink.
